FAQ
Our most frequently asked questions
How long does the process take?
16-20 weeks on average.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we recommend booking as far in advance as possible, as during peak periods we may have limited availability. Your place will be secured once your deposit payment has been made.
Which flowers can and cannot be pressed?
We are happy to accept and try to press any type of flower. Some press better than others. Roses are a great example of flower that typically press well whilst we have found that Orchids are more temperamental and the results tend to not be as good.
Will the colours fade during pressing?
We use traditional methods of flower pressing. Given their delicate and organic nature, petals may see changes in their colour or shading whilst in the press. This is due to the moisture being slowly withdrawn from the petals. Light coloured flowers (white and blush) tend to lose their vibrancy more compared with brighter blooms (purples, oranges and blues).
We may be able to offer colour enhancement for some flowers if required.
How soon should I send my flowers?
As soon as possible. We recommend weekend weddings post their flowers via 1st Class on the following Monday. If you are local feel free to drop them to us. Flowers press best when they are fresh.
How should I package my flowers?
Please see our step by step guide which demonstrates how to best package your flowers.
